Sapperton Day, held in conjunction with the Sapperton Bike Festival, is held annually to celebrate this New Westminster area's history and everything on two wheels. The day features a pancake breakfast and mini-fair along with face-painting, a bike-decorating contest and a carousel. Visitors interested in the bike festival can take in everything from champion BMX riders performing their tricks to an old-fashioned Penny Farthing race and be tempted by several bike shop vendors.
